Gas Release Pose – enhanced with Two-Legged Pressure

In continuation to my last blog, ‘Gas Release Pose with One-legged Pressure’, this new video concentrates on the enhancement of the process with the involvement of both the legs. ‘Two-legged wind pose’, ‘Two-legged gas pose’ or ‘Dwipada Pawanmuktasana’ can further enhance the process of gas release by exerting almost double the pressure on the abdominal area.

Bending both the knees onto the chest pushes the ‘end part of the back of the spine,’ more firmly on the floor, using the abdominal muscular strength. The subtle rolling of the hips towards the ceiling and then ‘in’ towards the body, creates a good traction on the lower back and releases all the tension and pain from this area. Hence, this is an important posture for back and core strength too. This helps keep sciatica, sleep disc & back stiffness at bay.

Add ‘Dwipada Pawanmuktasana’ to your daily yoga regime especially post the performance of ‘Ekpada Pawanmuktasana’ and reach its multi fold benefits. Check out other videos on our YouTube channel: ShammisYogalaya
