Intermittent Endurance with ‘Deep Back Opening’

Back bend is liberating in nature. The feeling can only be experienced when you get some proficiency in performing back bend flawlessly. Trust me, once you reach this stage, you would crave to perform this all the time.

Firstly, it liberates you on physiological level, giving massage and circulation to many areas which are stiff as these movements are not the regular movements of your day to day life. Secondly, the way it opens up your chest, it improves the exchange between carbon dioxide and oxygen and at the same time, optimizes the functioning of the intercostal muscles and the diaphragm… the main muscles of your respiration.

Last but not the least, it liberates you of the ‘FEAR’ on emotional and psychological level. Backbend is scaring because we do not know when do we come in contact with the floor when performing it standing. Once we can manage to do so, we conquer our inner fear as we know that we are all capable of entering an unknown territory.
