There is nothing much we can do directly on the knee per se, in case of knee problem. The only way to work on the knee is to strengthen it by working on its surrounding especially from two angle.
- Stretching and
- Strengthening
Stretching the areas, which are stiff and thereby, can increase the range of motion and strengthening the areas, which, when strengthened can release the knee joints of extra pressure, borne by it in lack of required cooperation from the surrounding.
Towel Roll Press is a common practice for knee pain. It is also one of the recommended practices by the therapists as a part of knee rehab. Even though the towel roll is pressed at three different locations on the back part of your leg, it works predominantly on strengthening a subtle segment of the thigh as well as stretching your stiff hamstrings.
Along with your knees, the health of your back, achillies tendon, plantar fascia, flat feet are also taken care of.
