Treating Tennis Elbow ….The Yogic Way

Tennis Elbow, as name says it, is mainly caused by overuse injury by griping a racquet too tight, wrong grip size, faulty technique, heavy racquet weight etc. in the world of Tennis playing. However, it is important to note that playing Tennis alone is not the only cause of it surfacing in a painful experience. Non tennis players are also equally inflicted by this, which can have its source in the repetitive motion, overuse of that particular area etc. At its extreme, the pain can be excruciating and debilitating, to the extent, that a normal act of opening a water bottle also can be paralyzing.

Immediate action of resting and regular ice application can be one of the best practices to deal with that immediate pain. As the pain settles down, it is advisable to start with the stretches shown in the video. Be gentle initially and stretch only as much as you can in your comfort zone. Gradually, as you feel the improvement in the pain, go full-fledged with these stretches for working on strength building of the elbow as well as its surroundings.
