I am so glad I ‘found’ Shammi and Shammi’s Yogalaya during the Pandemic. Did The Quarantine Transformation in 21 Days and got hooked both to Shammi and yoga! And to my luck – she soon announced her TTC8 online!
All the 4 subjects are interconnected and relevant – gives you a holistic insight into the complex discipline of Yoga ( which is NOT just about asanas). The content is very well curated and incredibly informative
giving you a deep understanding of how our bodies and the universe work and in tandem. It opens up your mind to some incredible concepts – which have been around since existence itself!
Though I believe age is just a number – being 60, I had my doubts about my ability and capabilities to go through the course, but to my pleasant surprise I was able to and thoroughly enjoyed reactivating the stiff, tight, and inactive components of both my body & brain!
I personally think – it is definitely worth doing this course – if not for becoming a teacher, but to be able to apply it to your self, your family and friends. Believe me, you’ll thank yourself for it!
On a final note – I  made some incredible friends along the way!

2020-04-19_16-18-06It was wonderful experience. Quarantine Transformation Program proved to be very beneficial for me. This is the first time that I practiced yoga continuously for 21 days. Earlier so many times I tried but couldn’t continue due to lack of dedication.

As a tennis player, I used to do stretching exercises, but I realized that there were so many muscles which were not used. I am so happy to experience the kind of flexibility which I never felt in past. Now I have learnt to practice suryanamaskar in a proper way. Kapalbhati is the best thing that I have ever learnt.

300 police trainees also practiced quarantine yoga during this period. They have more or less same feedback as mine.

Once again thank you so much for giving us wonderful experience.

I joined because I wanted to do a month of intensive yoga. Having been with Shammi for a year my expectations were high. The course exceeded my expectations.

It was wholesome. From the minute you woke up to the end of day there was a way of life that you got inducted into. From kriyas to pranayama to asanas… Each aspect played a part in the course and I learnt to appreciate it’s role.

It was well sculpted. There was a map, a pattern, a thought process to each thing we did and I think we all felt it by week 3. My body could do so much more without feeling tired. I were coping better without feeling that I had been pushed to some impossible extent in the first two weeks. It was within reach yet expanding my limits. Every class was meticulous in structure. I really appreciate the thought put into it.

This course really helped me get yoga into my life instead of it being a thrice a week activity, forgotten the rest of the time. I felt like I was living, breathing, thinking a yogic (loosely used) way of life much more. I feel better, stronger and more in sync with my body – what more can I ask for. And I wanted to only do good for my body.

Going forward I hope to grow yoga in my life. And I’m going to ensure Shammi is always a part of it. 🙂 Thank you Shammi.


The “Sculpted you Vll “was one of the most amazing experiences I had in my life. The teachings benefited me in more than many ways. You continue motivation and appreciation we’re helpful in Discovering my own potential, increase in strength and stamina building. Learning to “ slow down “ was a bigger achievement for me ,not only it helped me getting a correct posture but otherwise slowing down in life in general becoming “ patient “ and leaving space for lot of introspection on internal well-being .

This was the very first time ,I enrolled myself for a course like Sculpted You which is a 21days program that is amazingly comprehensive and holistically designed by Shammi to transform our lives through Yogic applications! First time I met Shammi, I became her fan and was sure that I wanted to be her student someday! This course and Shammi’s personalized attention has enhanced my way of life in numerous ways.

I really appreciate Shammi’s depth of knowledge, her clarity, her commitment and her experience, be it any kind of physical pain/ mental stress or any kind of discomfort, she has a solution for EVERYTHING!

Daily Pranayama and kriyas are so energizing and asanas made us aware of correct muscle and bone involvement. I never knew I could do Yogic Kriyas like Vaman or Jal Neti nor did I ever think that I ll be able to do 218 Suryanamaskars at a stretch. The progression of these skills was so smooth and natural that I didn’t realize that I was becoming strong physically and mentally as well!

Shammi’s team members were also so helpful and knowledgeable. Rajshree was our nutritionist who helped us in improving our eating habits. She made us understand the importance of eating right food at the right time in right quantity!

Chanda, another super strong yoga teacher, helped us in strengthening our muscles effectively. Her classes made us push our physical and mental boundaries and believe in ourselves every single time.

By the end of this course, Shammi makes sure that we, individually see the difference in ourselves by doing a post course assessment of every part of our body, body mass index and fat substance. To our surprise, each one of us were so happy with the results this course had on us!!

Shammi is the reason that I have become more mindful, have started becoming more passionate about Yoga now! A big Thank you to Shammi and her team!


Hi Shammi …
Just writing this at the end of an amazing 3 weeks sculpt you program . Knowing Shammi .. knew she would push me and was so looking forward to it .. and today I can say never has any program so subtly changed so much inside me and of course on the outside too..

At the beginning could barely make it through the day as the body was getting used to the daily stretches…but Shammi’s gentle but firm encouragement and constant motivation on the group.. got me waking up each day at 4..ignoring the pain.. taking a freaking cold shower and showing up at 5.45..every single day…and as she said.. that was all I had to do.. the program took care of the rest… Slowly as the body adapted to the asanas, the stretches the experience changed from pain to a kind of “meetha dard” a sweet ache that comes from pushing the limits of your body and seeing it adapt faster than u can think..

Another valuable takeaway was the introduction of kriyas in the practice..right from kalpalbhati to Surya bhedan to the bandhas to practices like jalneti,laghoo shankprasalan to vaman were an amazing experience which I have now gotten addicted to.

Would also like to mention the contribution of Rajashree and Chanda.. Rajashree for her amazingly insightful tips on the diets and coaxing me to do the impossible…leave my morning coffee.. Chanda for those amazing workout sessions where she filled in for Shammi with the same intensity and dedication and her secret recipe of the cooler she made.. which she still hasn’t shared on the group…

And the highlight of the session was the last day where we did close to 217 surya namaskaars.. an impossible feat if you would have asked me 21 days earlier. it was only Shammi’s confidence in us that pulled us through. when she said..” I know you guys are ready ” with so much conviction wanted to do it for her and actually managed to… That was the highlight of the program for me. Thank you Shammi, Chanda and Rajashree for the amazing program and getting me addicted to yoga forever and sculpting me from inside out.


Testimonial— doing the sculpt class was a totally new experience something that one can’t get from a regular yoga class. Shammi has put in a lot of effort to make each class very interesting and challenging at the same time. I used to actually look forward to waking up at 4 am and driving all the way from Worli every day at 5 am for a 5.45 am class (no kidding and I would do it again 😊) . The experience with “Sculpted You” program has been more than extraordinary !  All activities, yoga knowledge, food guidance, Kriya techniques and program schedule was only possible because of your gentle push.

For me personally, this has opened a completely new door. As my family was pushing me to enrol in any Yoga classes, I came across your program on a random search. On the orientation day, your main room was  filled with people an  followed by personal talk with you, I jump the ship.

Honestly, the first few days were very tough as I never coup up with such focused program before. Followed by your constant push to keep going, gave the daily confidence boost.

I have never done Surya Namaskar in my life, though saw my family doing the same. I though it impossible. I have never done any Kriya in my life but I was so amazed to feel so light after Jalneti and Laghoo Sakhprakshalan. You showed the way to combine Yoga in most seamless way with medical science solutions for Thyroid, weightloss, daily discipline and even Pranayam technique. In my entire life I have never done activities on days of period. But the last day I took up strength and did 110 Surya Namaskar at home that too on second day of monthly cycle. It was worth sweating out !

Overall – Its all smiles with lots of discipline to follow every day. I am all eyes for maintenance plan you will share to follow the same.

“Sculpted you was the best start I have given to my new year in a long time and it has given me a head start and the right direction for 2019 to become fitter and disciplined.
The first week of suryanamaskars and core exercises shattered my assumption that I could do yoga because I had done it in school.

I realized that my strength and my stamina was much lower than what it was before and it was a tough realization. Even though I felt this I must say every single day after our session I felt more refreshed (this was the end of day after work) and happier.

In the following weeks I saw the change in my workout  with a steady increase in the number of suryanamaskars, holding the positions and just faring better overall.
With a good initial download on dietary habits we should adopt, cleansing practices to do weekly and all the other participants and their vigor throughout the course enabled me to give my best as well.

I am so glad I was part of this. The daily routine we were told to follow in our diet, our morning practices has become a daily part of life.

I can see physical changes in terms of getting rid of the bloating, losing weight, feeling fitter, people commenting on the glow on my face to simply feeling great about pushing your limits little by little daily and getting a sense of achievement.

The course is very well planned, conducted with utmost professionalism and timely well thought out activities.

It is more than a work out and about more than just losing weight. It’s given me the discipline to aim for a healthier lifestyle on a daily basis and realize the full potential of my body and mind.

Many thanks for the program. Must say that it is a very well sculpted program with comprehensive inputs from yoga to diet and how to live our daily lives in sync with the natural rhythm. The intensity of the exercises was built up gradually and ensured that even beginners like me come at par as the course went along. The kriyas helped me a lot in feeling lighter and all cleansed up from decades of toxin buildup. The strength and stamina building through the asanas helped a lot in making me feel lighter and energetic through the day.

This Sculpted You was about the Fourth Time I have joined this holistic development program at Shammi’s Yogalaya, so I am very well versed with the benefits it comes with as I have experienced it myself.

However, this time my experience was very different from the previous times. You and I were well aware that my attendance and participation will only be a fraction of that of the rest of the group, but we decided on it anyway. And I can’t emphasize it enough, but without your support in the past years I would hardly be the person I am today! 😊

Being Newly married comes with a hectic routine, scarce work-life balance, disrupted schedules and new eating patterns. So this time I used Sculpted You as my Happy Place. I would come, vent, work out and be a new person again. While I may not have lost considerable weight as part of the program, I was able to regain my consciousness with regards to my health in a new household.

The simple but important things like mindful eating, yogic breathing, daily workout and self discipline go for a toss when you have taken on a new life, and Scuplted You was a constant reminder that no matter what, my health takes priority and the rest will always fall in place.

I have first hand seen people just ‘Let Go’ of their under the title of being married and by the time they regain consciousness, the damage is almost always done. The simple confidence of falling back into my body’s routine is the gift Sculpted You has given me, and at the moment I feel that’s half the battle won! 😁

Kaushik Katty Roy 1Hello fellow yogis and yoginis, forgive me if this post runs a bit too long. I have a few confessions to make and a realization to share.

Like everyone else, I too joined this program with some specific intentions – of being trimmer, fitter, more energetic and so on. And now with the program behind me, when I have the opportunity to review it, I realise that Sculpted You also had an intention. And it was bigger than mine, yet inclusive of all my goals. Let me explain.

For most of us, yoga is a twice or thrice a week thing. And I must confess that every time I roll my mat and put it away, yoga too disappears from my head. A kind of ‘roll it, shut it, forget it’ phenomenon happens. But Sculpted You didn’t allow that luxury.

7 days a week, and several times every day, I was involved in some yogic activity or another. For these 3 weeks, yoga became a continuum for me, like breathing. And I got a taste of what it feels like to be ‘yukt’.

According to a school of yoga, there are 4 phases in the pursuit of yoga – Practice, Sadhana, Lifestyle and then the fourth phase, in which they say, one exhibits yogic qualities even in one’s sleep. That’s how deeply embedded in yoga the sadhak becomes.

I think Sculpted You took me from mere Practice to Sadhana and now encourages me to make yoga a part of my Lifestyle. That, I believe, is the program’s intent, which is much larger than my small selfish goals. I also believe that small goals are automatically fulfilled, almost as a by-product, if one can make yoga a part of lifestyle.

This is my key learning and also my resolve – to continue to be yukt, now that the program is over.

If you’re wondering where you stand, I invite you to do a small thought experiment. Ask yourself on Monday whether you feel relief or a void. If it’s a void, congratulations, you are already more yukt than you think you are. And going by the vibes I’ve felt in the classes, I’m pretty certain that everyone will feel the void over the relief.

The obvious question at this point is, even with the best of intentions can one continue, unsupervised? I believe the answer is yes, and that’s the beauty of the program structure. There’s a lot of it that can be done by oneself, without supervision. The basic breathing exercises, the kriyas, the suryanamaskars, if nothing else. And the simplicity and sustainability of the nutrition guidelines also complement the program brilliantly. So, all in all, Sculpted You seems to be designed to help me carry on.

Having walked a few hand-held steps on the journey towards well-being, the program now urges me to walk on.

Which brings me to our teacher. There are various definitions of a good teacher – one who understands the potential of the student, one who leads by example, one who inspires. In Shammi, all of these qualities converge, and then some. I’ve whatsapped her the weirdest of questions at the oddest of hours, and every single time I’ve got a sharp, clear answer. Like many others, I do better when she’s around. And she pushes just hard enough to make me want to come back for more.

For all this and more, I thank Shammi from … my core 🙂

This is my second stint with Sculpted You….but I have been learning from you for the past 8 years and the learning will continue for eternity. I have said this a million times but I want to say again…that you are not just a yoga teacher…but you are a magician…a person with a golden heart who touches souls, changes lives and gently pushes people to become better versions of themselves. I have experienced all of the above and I am forever grateful to you and feel so fortunate to have you as my Guru!

That apart, what I loved the most about Sculpted You, is the atmosphere you created. We are all at different stages in our yogic journey, but together each one of us tried to motivate ourselves and each other to go that extra mile. It was an amazing feeling. You made that happen. It’s so heartwarming to see people happy when they achieve something they never thought their body could …until they met you. You inspire us in ways that you cannot even imagine and I cannot do justice to with my words.

Personally for me I feel my greatest achievement this Sculpted You was to be able to sit and do the kapalbhatti, suryabhedan, bhastrika without arms and tratak for as long as we did. I remember last Sculpted You, I would stop mid way…just because I couldn’t sit still with my eyes shut. I would feel restless…but there was a marked improvement this time and I continued the breathing exercises till you asked us to stop. That to me felt great. That to me is one step forward and I can’t thank you enough for it.

I love the way you help, teach, guide and encourage people according to their state of mind, their personality, their physical and emotional strengths and weaknesses. We all have so much to learn from you! Thank you is too small a word to express my gratitude.

NidhiI joined the “Sculpt You” program by Shammi’s Yogalaya. The program really helped me in improving my health. One of the parameter that shows that the program was effective was the improvement that i had in TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone – Ultra-sensitive). My results for TSH shows significant improvement from 7.2 to 4.6.  It self explanatory what can this 21 days meticulously designed program can do to your life..

I was generally sharing with my son that this Sculpted You program has been more like a Meditation for me….
At many a times I felt the state of no pain …just one focal point….as if I can go on and on….

Where my body would have given up way before but I rose above the bodily limitations and in a very peaceful zone where I could experience the Calm in pushing further…I mean to say I was aware that I m going beyond yet some unknown force just kept me going …
I really dun know what I’m writing and I actually cannot capture in words what I have experienced….

This was my second Sculpted You program and I got every bit as much out of it as the earlier one.

Coming into it, my objective was to get an additional push to shed weight and continue to build on the healthier lifestyle practices that I had imbibed the last time around.

Almost a month later I ended the programme about three kilos lighter, which was lesser than what I had hoped. But what more than made up for that was the significant increase in overall strength, lightness and stamina. Going from doing 60 Suryanamaskars on the first day to 146 on the last was just one obvious outward manifestation of that. But the most vital part of the programme to me was the way it made me look forward to every session despite the gruelling 4 hour drive every day. I never thought I’d ever look forward to driving through Saki Naka every evening!

That the path to be healthy can at the same time be fun and something to look forward to, was a revelation of Sculpted You 5. And for that I will forever be grateful to Shammi – who despite having a motley bunch of people of different fitness levels, kept an eye on each one to ensure we got the maximum out of this programme.

And now, onward to the project of making this experience self-sustainable . . .

Revathy SreekumarI have been Shammi’s student and a yoga practitioner for almost 5 years now. I was part of the ‘sculpted you’ 4 sessions and the changes I have observed are many. Post my pregnancy, I had not been feeling too fit or healthy in general and this 21 day challenge was perfect to put me back on track. The mix of yoga and Kriyas, the cough due to my nasal drip has decreased at least 60%. My sleep has improved tremendously, my skin feels better and I feel lighter.
